AUTOPOT 9MM GROMMET

Description

AutoPot 9mm Grommet is a replacement or additional sealing grommet for AutoPot gravity-fed growing system reservoirs and tray assemblies, providing a watertight seal around irrigation hose entry points in the reservoir wall or base. We have been supplying AutoPot systems and accessories to UK growers since 2017, and keeping a supply of grommets on hand is good practice for any grower running an AutoPot system through multiple growing cycles.

Maintaining Leak-Free Connections in AutoPot Systems

The AutoPot gravity-fed system uses grommets at all points where irrigation tubing penetrates the reservoir or tray walls — the primary connection point between the water source and the AQUAvalve delivery system. These rubber grommets create a compression seal around the tubing that prevents leaks while allowing the tubing to remain removable for system modification or maintenance. Over time and repeated assembly/disassembly cycles, rubber grommets can become compressed, cracked or distorted, gradually losing their sealing capacity and creating small leaks that waste nutrient solution and wet the floor beneath the system.

Replacing worn grommets before they develop significant leaks is straightforward and inexpensive — far less costly and disruptive than dealing with the floor damage, mould risk and wasted nutrient that a leaking reservoir connection creates over a full growing cycle. Keeping spare grommets available means you can address wear immediately when it is identified during routine system inspection rather than having to improvise a seal or interrupt a running grow to wait for replacement parts.

Fitting and Compatibility

The 9mm grommet fits standard AutoPot irrigation hose connections at the reservoir entry point. Remove the old grommet by pulling the tubing through and replacing with the new grommet before reinserting the tubing. Apply a small amount of silicone grease to the grommet for a smooth, airtight installation if the fit is tight.
