AirFan Thermo 200 2500 m³/h is a high-output temperature-controlled EC extraction fan that we have been supplying to UK commercial growers since 2017 for large grow rooms and commercial cultivation facilities requiring substantial air turnover rates. With a maximum extraction capacity of 2,500 m³/h through a 200mm bore, this is one of the most powerful 200mm fans we stock — capable of rapidly clearing heat from large, high-wattage lighting installations while maintaining the target temperature through the AirFan Thermo’s integrated thermostat and proportional speed control system.
When You Need 2500 m³/h in a 200mm Fan
High-intensity grow rooms running multiple HID or high-power LED fixtures generate substantial heat loads that smaller fans cannot adequately manage. The rule of thumb for extraction sizing is to achieve a complete air change every 1–3 minutes in a hot grow room environment. In a 30m³ grow space running 2,000W+ of lighting, a fan capable of 2,500 m³/h provides sufficient capacity to keep temperatures within target range even in warm ambient conditions. The AirFan Thermo 200’s 2,500 m³/h high-output variant delivers this capacity while maintaining the intelligent temperature-responsive speed control of the Thermo range — so during cooler periods or lights-off, the fan drops to minimum speed, saving energy and reducing noise significantly compared to running at full output continuously.
Installation and System Design
Use with 200mm diameter ducting throughout. To achieve 2,500 m³/h at the point of extraction, minimise duct bends and length and ensure the carbon filter’s CFM rating matches or exceeds the fan’s maximum output. The integrated thermostat probe is built into the fan unit — no external sensor required. Set the target temperature via the control panel. For large commercial rooms, consider two units on independent circuits for redundancy. Pair with a Phresh 200mm carbon filter and a 200mm CAN silencer for complete high-volume climate and odour management.
