Description

NEWA MICROJET MC450 OXY is the complete recirculating aeroponic misting system designed to deliver maximum root-zone oxygenation and ultra-fine nutrient misting in DWC and aeroponic growing setups. We have been supplying Newa Microjet systems to UK hydroponics growers since 2017 because their compact pump design, reliable misting heads, and OXY aeration technology create the combined water and air delivery that accelerates root development and plant growth beyond what standard bubble bucket DWC systems achieve.

OXY Technology and Root Zone Performance

The Newa Microjet MC450 OXY integrates a submersible pump with built-in air intake ports that draw air into the water stream as it circulates — the OXY mechanism. This means every misting cycle delivers not just nutrient solution to the root zone, but a micro-oxygenated water mist that supplies dissolved oxygen directly to root tips. Roots grown in high-oxygen environments develop faster, branch more prolifically, and are significantly more resistant to pythium and root rot than those grown in standard static or low-aeration reservoir conditions. The MC450 is sized for systems running three to six sites, making it ideal for the Oxypot XL, custom multi-site aeroponic builds, and small-to-medium NFT propagation benches.

Installation and Maintenance

Position the MC450 at the base of your reservoir, ensuring the air intake ports are above the waterline to draw in fresh air rather than circulating reservoir air. Connect the outlet to your distribution ring or individual spray heads using standard 13mm or 19mm tubing. Clean spray heads every two to three weeks with a fine needle or a citric acid soak to prevent mineral blockages that reduce misting coverage. Replace O-rings and check impeller condition annually. Use RO water to reduce mineral build-up in your system and extend the service interval between deep cleans.
