Description
AutoPot 15 Litre Pot is the standard pot size used across the AutoPot gravity-fed growing system range, providing ample root volume for medium to large fruiting and flowering plants while maintaining the passive, pump-free operation that makes AutoPot systems one of the most practical automated growing solutions available to UK cultivators. We have been recommending AutoPot systems and accessories to our customers since 2017.
Why Pot Size Matters in Passive Growing Systems
In a passive, gravity-fed system like AutoPot, the pot volume plays a significant role in how the system behaves. A 15-litre pot provides sufficient root space for most medium-sized plants to develop fully without becoming pot-bound, while the larger volume of growing medium acts as a natural buffer between watering cycles — storing moisture and nutrients for the plant to draw on between AQUAvalve refill events. This is particularly important for larger, faster-growing plants that consume water and nutrients at higher rates during peak vegetative and flowering growth.
The AutoPot 15 Litre Pot is designed to sit in the standard AutoPot tray and AQUAvalve assembly, fitting into all existing AutoPot 1-pot, 4-pot and larger array configurations without modification. The pot itself uses a standard flexible plastic construction with drainage holes at the base that interface correctly with the AQUAvalve tray system.
Growing Media Compatibility and Setup
The 15 Litre AutoPot Pot is compatible with all growing media suitable for AutoPot systems — Canna Coco, Gold Label Coco Perlite 70/30, soil mixes, or AutoPot’s own recommended medium. Avoid pure perlite or excessively fast-draining media in passive systems where the natural capillary action within the medium is important for even moisture distribution from the tray upward.
Fill to within 5cm of the rim for standard use. Pair with AutoPot’s AQUAvalve trays, flexi-tank reservoir and appropriate nutrients for coco or soil to set up a complete, low-maintenance growing system. A reliable and practical pot size for the most popular AutoPot configurations.
