Description
Top Shooter is H&G’s late-stage mineral additive, based on a high-potassium formulation with silicate components that support flower hardening in the final weeks before harvest. Silicate deposited in cell walls during the late flowering period contributes to flower density and structural integrity — the same mechanism that makes silicon-supplemented plants more resistant to physical damage and pest ingress also supports the firm, compact structure that fully developed flowers should display.
Use in the final 1–2 weeks of the flowering phase at the recommended dose. At this stage in the cycle, nitrogen demand is near zero and potassium demand remains high — Top Shooter’s formulation reflects this. Compatible with the H&G product range and with most other bloom nutrient programmes as a late-stage addition.
Timing matters more with a late-stage additive like Top Shooter than with a base nutrient, since it’s designed to work within a specific, relatively narrow window rather than across the full flowering cycle. Introducing it too early, while plants are still building structure and have significant nitrogen demand, doesn’t deliver the benefit the product is designed for and can unbalance a feeding programme that’s otherwise correctly calibrated for that stage. The 250ml size reflects the fact that Top Shooter is used at low doses for a short period each cycle rather than throughout, so even a modest bottle covers multiple flowering cycles for most home-scale growers. As with any additive layered onto a base feeding programme, introduce it at the lower end of the recommended dose range initially and observe plant response before increasing, particularly if you’re combining it with other late-stage products from the H&G range or elsewhere, since additive effects can stack in ways that push total EC or specific nutrient ratios higher than intended.
Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark location between uses to preserve potency across the full flowering season, and always shake gently before measuring out a dose to ensure the concentrate is evenly mixed.
