At 680W, the XLED V6 delivers photon output competitive with 1000W HPS systems while consuming significantly less power, producing less heat, and offering the spectral control and longevity advantages that LED technology provides over HID alternatives.
The Technology Inside the XLED V6
LUMii has built the XLED V6 around the Samsung LM301 diode series — the gold standard in horticultural LED efficiency, delivering high photon efficacy with outstanding reliability and consistent output over the lamp’s rated lifespan. The bar-style arrangement of the XLED V6 distributes these diodes across a wide, multi-bar form factor. This spreads the light output evenly across the growing area, achieving a uniformity of PPFD distribution across the canopy that single-panel LEDs cannot match. Uniform light distribution is not a cosmetic feature — it is a yield-determining factor. When every square centimetre of canopy receives an equivalent photon dose, every plant site produces at its potential. When distribution is uneven, plants under hot spots receive too much light while plants at the edges receive too little, limiting the productivity of the entire canopy. Coverage, Dimming, and Integration
The XLED V6 at 680W is sized for growing spaces from 1.2m x 1.2m up to 1.5m x 1.5m as a sole primary light for flowering, and larger areas for vegetative growing where lower PPFD is appropriate. Multiple units can be used side by side to cover larger commercial growing footprints. The integrated dimmer allows output to be adjusted from 20% to 100%, enabling precise control across all growth stages from propagation through to peak flowering. Compatible with climate controllers and 0–10V dimming systems for automated intensity management.
