Description
Plagron Sugar Royal is a premium carbohydrate and amino acid supplement designed to enhance the size, weight, and aromatic quality of flowers and fruits during the bloom phase. Sugar Royal provides plants with a complex blend of simple and complex sugars alongside amino acids that feed both plant metabolism and beneficial microbial populations in the root zone — creating a biological environment that supports the most intensive phase of plant production with precision nutrition at the cellular level.
What Sugar Royal Does for Your Plants
During the flowering phase, plants produce enormous quantities of sugars through photosynthesis to fuel flower development, terpene synthesis, and the accumulation of aromatic compounds that determine the quality of your final harvest. Sugar Royal supplements this internal sugar production, providing an external source of carbohydrates that plants and root zone microbes can utilise directly. This reduces the metabolic burden on the plant during its most energy-intensive phase. The amino acid component of Sugar Royal provides ready-to-use building blocks for enzyme synthesis, chlorophyll production, and the protein structures involved in flower development. Amino acids bypass the energy cost of synthesising proteins from raw nitrogen compounds — an important efficiency gain during peak flowering when every unit of plant energy counts. We stock the complete Plagron range at The Horticulture Company and Sugar Royal is consistently one of the additives our customers rate most highly for its visible effect on flower development.
How to Use Sugar Royal in Your Feed Schedule
Introduce Sugar Royal from the start of the flowering phase and continue through to the final week before harvest flush. The recommended dosage is 2–4ml per litre of nutrient solution, used alongside your regular base nutrient programme. Sugar Royal is compatible with all Plagron base nutrients and with other leading nutrient brands. It works in soil, coco, and all hydroponic systems. In recirculating systems, monitor reservoir temperature carefully when using carbohydrate supplements — warm reservoirs encourage microbial activity that can affect nutrient solution stability over time.
