Description
Plant Success Great White Premium Mycorrhizae is a professional-grade mycorrhizal inoculant containing a highly concentrated blend of ecto- and endo-mycorrhizal fungi species, beneficial bacteria and Trichoderma, designed to establish an extensive, biologically active root ecosystem that maximises plant nutrient uptake and stress resistance. We have been recommending Great White to UK growers since 2017 as one of the most comprehensive and potent mycorrhizal inoculants available to the serious cultivator.
The Most Complete Mycorrhizal Inoculant Available
Great White Premium Mycorrhizae packs more mycorrhizal species, beneficial bacteria strains and Trichoderma into a single product than virtually any comparable inoculant on the market. The combination of 7 endo-mycorrhizal species, 11 ecto-mycorrhizal species, 14 beneficial bacterial species and 2 Trichoderma species creates a broad biological foundation that covers the diversity of root zone conditions encountered across different growing media, plant species and growing environments.
Mycorrhizal fungi colonise plant root surfaces and extend networks of fungal hyphae — microscopic filaments far smaller than root hairs — out through the growing medium to access water and mineral phosphorus, nitrogen and micronutrients in areas of the medium that roots cannot physically reach. This dramatically extends the effective foraging area of the root system, improving resource access and reducing the plant’s dependence on heavy external mineral inputs. Well-mycorrhised plants consistently show better drought tolerance, improved phosphorus and micronutrient uptake, greater resistance to root pathogens, and enhanced overall vigour compared to non-inoculated plants.
Application for Maximum Colonisation
Apply Great White by dusting directly onto roots at transplanting, mixing into potting media before planting, or incorporating into the transplant hole around the root ball. The beneficial organisms must make direct contact with the root surface to initiate colonisation — diluted reservoir addition is less effective than direct root zone application at transplanting.
Not compatible with hydrogen peroxide treatments or strongly bactericidal reservoir treatments. Use consistently within a biological growing approach for best long-term results. Compatible with all growing media. An outstanding biological root zone inoculant for UK growers committed to maximising plant performance through living soil science.
