Breathable non-woven polypropylene fabric air-prunes roots at the pot wall — when root tips encounter air, they stop elongating and branch laterally, producing a dense root network that colonises the full 75.6-litre volume. A drip tray or pot feet underneath solves this while also containing any run-off from watering. Fold flat and store dry between grows if not left permanently set up.
Pair with a saucer sized to the base diameter if run-off staining is a concern on the surface underneath, and check the fabric for any thinning at the base seam after several seasons of heavy use before relying on it for another full cycle.
