Description
REINOLD FIRE EXTINGUISHING SPRAY 500ML is the compact, ready-to-use fire suppression spray designed for immediate response to small electrical and general fires in enclosed environments including grow rooms, server rooms, and other spaces where a traditional fire extinguisher may be impractical or insufficiently accessible. We have been recommending fire safety equipment to UK growers since 2017 as an essential component of responsible grow room safety planning.
Why Fire Safety Is a Critical but Often Overlooked Priority in Grow Rooms
Grow rooms concentrate electrical load density, heat-generating equipment, combustible growing media, and often enclosed spaces with limited ventilation — a combination that creates meaningful fire risk that must be actively managed. HID ballasts, LED drivers, extraction fans, and associated electrical infrastructure all represent potential ignition sources if equipment fails, cabling is inadequate, or connections are made incorrectly. The Reinold fire extinguishing spray provides a compact, immediately accessible first-response tool that can be stored within the grow space itself — within reach at the moment a small electrical or general fire begins, before it has the opportunity to spread to surrounding materials. At 500ml, it is significantly more accessible and compact than a traditional extinguisher, making it practical to mount directly inside a grow tent or small grow room where a conventional extinguisher would not fit.
Usage, Limitations, and Responsible Fire Safety Planning
The Reinold fire extinguishing spray is designed for tackling small, contained fires in their earliest stage — Class A (solid materials) and Class E (electrical equipment fires). Direct the spray at the base of the flame from a safe distance and apply until the fire is extinguished. Do not use on Class F fires (cooking oils). Important: fire suppression sprays of this type are supplementary first-response tools, not replacements for a properly mounted and maintained full-size fire extinguisher. Always install at least one BS EN3-compliant fire extinguisher of the appropriate class in or adjacent to any grow room. Ensure all electrical installations are professionally assessed, use appropriately rated cables, install RCD protection on all circuits, and follow manufacturer load ratings for all equipment.
