How to Use Remo Grow

Remo Grow is the vegetative-stage component of Remo Nutrients’ three-part base nutrient system — used alongside Remo Micro and their bloom counterpart to deliver a complete, professionally formulated feed programme. If you’re building a high-performance grow with the Remo system, Grow is what drives the vegetative phase: strong root development, vigorous stem and leaf growth, and the structural foundation your plants need before they transition into flowering. Here’s how to use it correctly.

What Does Remo Grow Do?

Remo Grow is a nitrogen-forward base nutrient designed specifically for the vegetative growth stage. During veg, plants are building the entire physical structure they’ll rely on through flowering — root mass, stem thickness, node spacing, and leaf canopy. All of that requires a sustained supply of nitrogen (for chlorophyll production and protein synthesis), phosphorus (for root development and energy transfer), and potassium (for cell expansion and water management). Remo Grow delivers all three, calibrated for vegetative demand rather than the phosphorus-heavy ratios of flowering formulas.

Alongside the NPK core, Remo Grow contains calcium, magnesium, sulphur, and a full spectrum of chelated trace elements — iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron, and molybdenum. The formula also includes amino acids and organic compounds that improve nutrient uptake efficiency and support chlorophyll production, ensuring the macronutrients in the solution are actually absorbed and put to use rather than sitting in the root zone.

Remo Grow Dosage

The recommended dose is 2–4ml per litre of water. This range allows you to dial in feed strength based on your plant’s size, growth rate, and the richness of your growing medium.

Practical guidance by situation:

Remo Grow is always used alongside Remo Micro — the two are designed to work as a pair throughout the full growing cycle. Follow Remo’s official feeding chart for the correct Grow-to-Micro ratio at each stage.

How to Mix Remo Grow

When to Use Remo Grow

Begin using Remo Grow once your seedlings have developed their first set of true leaves — at this point the root system is established enough to take up a light feed solution. Start at a low dose (2ml/L) and increase gradually as the plant grows.

Continue applying Remo Grow throughout the vegetative phase and into the first week or two of the flowering transition, then switch to Remo Bloom as the plant fully commits to flower development. The exact transition point depends on your variety — some fast-flowering strains switch over quickly, while others benefit from an extended transitional feed.

Available Sizes

Remo Grow is available in 500ml, 1 litre, 5 litre, and 10 litre. For first-time users, the 500ml or 1L gives you enough product to trial the system properly. Regular growers with established setups will find the 5L or 10L significantly more economical per litre.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Remo Grow need to be used with Remo Micro?

Yes — Remo Grow and Remo Micro are the two-component base for the vegetative stage. Grow provides the core NPK, while Micro supplies chelated micronutrients and stabilises the solution. They’re designed to work together, and using one without the other will result in incomplete nutrition. Always follow the Remo feeding chart for the correct ratios.

Can I use Remo Grow with nutrients from other brands?

Remo Grow is specifically formulated to work within the Remo system. While it’s technically compatible with most individual additives from other brands, the base nutrient ratios are calibrated for use with Remo Micro. Using it alongside another brand’s base nutrient is not recommended — you’d risk duplicating elements and creating imbalances.

When should I switch from Remo Grow to Remo Bloom?

Switch when the plant is fully committed to flowering — typically 1–2 weeks after you’ve changed the light schedule (for photoperiod varieties) and visible flower development is underway. In the transition week, some growers halve the Grow dose and introduce Bloom at half dose simultaneously to smooth the changeover.

Is Remo Grow suitable for outdoor grows?

Yes — Remo Grow works for both indoor and outdoor growing. For outdoor container crops including tomatoes, courgettes, and other fruiting vegetables, apply during the active vegetative phase at the standard 2–4ml/L range.
