Osram Plantastar HPS Lamps
The Osram Plantastar is the benchmark HPS lamp for indoor growing. Its optimised red-orange spectrum peaks precisely in the 590–660nm range — the wavelengths most effective for promoting flower development and fruiting. The Plantastar maintains high lumen output throughout its rated life, meaning consistent performance from first use to replacement. Available in 400W, 600W and 1000W single-ended configurations compatible with all major digital ballasts.
Replace Plantastar bulbs every 6,000–8,000 hours or approximately every 12 months of normal use. While the lamp will continue to function beyond this point, lumen depreciation reduces light output meaningfully — replacing at the recommended interval maintains peak yield performance.
Osram Metal Halide and CDM Lamps
Osram’s Metal Halide range provides the blue-heavy, broad-spectrum output ideal for vegetative growth. Their CDM (Ceramic Discharge Metal Halide) lamps deliver a full, balanced spectrum approaching natural daylight — making them excellent for full-cycle growing or supplemental lighting in greenhouses.
