The relationship between duct diameter and airflow resistance is not linear — it is governed by fluid dynamics that make larger diameter ducts dramatically more efficient per unit of airflow than smaller ones. Material, Length, and Practical Handling
Combi ducting is manufactured from multi-layer aluminium with a reinforcing helix wire that allows the ducting to be compressed for installation in tight spaces and extended to full length for runs requiring maximum diameter and minimal restriction. The aluminium construction is fire-resistant, chemical-resistant, and sufficiently durable for permanent installation in growing rooms. Secure at both ends with jubilee clips or ducting clamps for a secure, air-tight connection to fans, filters, and fittings.
