Combi Ducting 250mm (10″) is a large-diameter, flexible aluminium ducting designed for the high-volume air extraction and intake requirements of large indoor growing operations and commercial cultivation facilities. At 250mm (10 inches) in diameter, this ducting carries the airflow volumes produced by large inline fans and commercial extraction systems — appropriate for growing rooms of significant size where smaller-diameter ducting would create excessive velocity, noise, and back-pressure that reduces extraction system efficiency and increases energy consumption.

The relationship between duct diameter and airflow resistance is not linear — it is governed by fluid dynamics that make larger diameter ducts dramatically more efficient per unit of airflow than smaller ones. Halving the duct diameter increases airflow resistance by a factor of sixteen. This means that running a powerful fan through undersized ducting creates a system where most of the fan’s power is consumed overcoming resistance rather than moving air — the opposite of efficient, quiet extraction. Material, Length, and Practical Handling

Combi ducting is manufactured from multi-layer aluminium with a reinforcing helix wire that allows the ducting to be compressed for installation in tight spaces and extended to full length for runs requiring maximum diameter and minimal restriction. The aluminium construction is fire-resistant, chemical-resistant, and sufficiently durable for permanent installation in growing rooms. Secure at both ends with jubilee clips or ducting clamps for a secure, air-tight connection to fans, filters, and fittings.
