Description

Garland Giant Plus Tray is a heavy-duty, large-format propagation and growing tray that we have been supplying to UK growers since 2017 for use across a wide range of indoor and outdoor growing applications. Built from robust, UV-stabilised polypropylene, the Garland Giant Plus is designed for repeated use across multiple seasons — far more durable than thin-walled single-use trays that crack after a few months of grow room use. Its generous dimensions accommodate large numbers of pots, propagation plugs or seedling cells simultaneously, making it the tray of choice for serious propagators and commercial nursery operators.

Why Tray Quality Matters in Propagation and Growing

Propagation and grow trays serve two critical functions: containing water and nutrient solution to prevent floor contamination, and supporting the weight of growing media and plant containers through weeks or months of continuous use. Thin, flexible trays flex and distort under load, causing uneven water pooling and making them difficult to move safely when filled. The Garland Giant Plus is moulded from thick polypropylene with reinforcing ribs in the base and sidewalls that maintain rigidity under load — you can carry a full tray of 15cm pots without the tray bowing or spilling. The UV stabilisation prevents the brittleness and cracking that affects standard trays exposed to grow room lighting over time.

Applications and Compatible Products

Use the Garland Giant Plus as a drip tray under pot systems, as a flood tray for manual watering, as a propagation flat for seedling trays and plug inserts, or as a catch tray under grow bags. Its large internal dimensions accommodate most standard pot sizes from 1 to 15 litres and fit standard 1.2m grow tent footprints. Combine with Root !T propagation plugs, Grodan rockwool cubes or AutoPot pot sets for a complete and tidy growing setup. Clean between uses with a dilute bleach solution or dedicated equipment cleaner.
