Description
Overdrive is a premium late-flowering stimulator from Advanced Nutrients, engineered to maximise bud weight, resin density and overall harvest quality during the final two to three weeks of the bloom cycle. We have been recommending Advanced Nutrients’ Overdrive to UK cultivators since 2017 as a proven finisher that consistently delivers measurable improvements to yield weight and flower quality at harvest.
How Overdrive Pushes Flowers to Their Maximum Potential
Overdrive is formulated to address the natural deceleration in flower development that occurs during the last weeks of bloom. As plants approach harvest maturity, the rate of new cell division in flowers slows — but the existing flower structures can still expand and fill out with additional nutrient loading and hormonal signalling. Overdrive provides a targeted combination of potassium-heavy minerals, amino acid precursors and proprietary cofactors that restart this expansion phase, encouraging plants to push more bulk, oil and terpene content into flowers before the cycle ends.
Advanced Nutrients formulates Overdrive as a pH-perfect product, meaning it is buffered to maintain the correct pH range in a recirculating hydroponic system without constant manual adjustment — a significant practical advantage for busy growers managing multiple reservoirs. It is fully compatible with all other Advanced Nutrients products and most third-party additive programmes.
Application Timing and Feeding Programme Integration
Introduce Overdrive from week five or six of flowering through to approximately seven days before your final flush begins. Apply at the manufacturer’s recommended dose — typically 2ml per litre — as part of your regular feed. Monitor EC and reduce other bloom additives if total dissolved solids approach the upper limit of your plants’ tolerance.
Pairs excellently with Advanced Nutrients’ Big Bud during earlier bloom weeks, transitioning to Overdrive as the crop approaches finish. Combine with a quality flush product, final-week environmental optimisation (reduced humidity, modest temperature drop) and UV supplementation for a comprehensive late-bloom quality programme.
