Plagron Power Roots is a professional root stimulator and development enhancer that we have been recommending to UK soil, coco and hydroponic growers since 2017. Formulated by Plagron using a concentrated blend of humic acids, fulvic acids, plant extracts and trace elements, Power Roots stimulates lateral root branching, increases root hair density and promotes the establishment of a dense, expansive root system from propagation right through to early flowering. The Science Behind Plagron Power Roots

Humic and fulvic acids — the core active components in Power Roots — have multiple documented effects on root development and nutrient availability. Humic acids improve soil and substrate structure, increasing water-holding capacity and aeration while enhancing the cation exchange capacity that keeps nutrients available near the root surface. Fulvic acids are smaller molecules that penetrate cell membranes directly, improving the uptake of trace elements and stimulating root cell metabolism. Together, they create an environment that actively encourages root proliferation. The plant extracts in Power Roots add natural growth hormones including auxins, which drive apical root elongation and lateral root initiation — the branching process that expands the root’s total surface area and nutrient-absorbing capacity dramatically. We consistently see faster establishment, reduced transplant stress and stronger early vegetative growth when Power Roots is used from day one.

Application Rate and Programme Integration

Use Plagron Power Roots at 2 ml per litre from the first watering of cuttings or seedlings through to weeks 2–3 of flowering when root development is largely complete. It is compatible with all growing media and integrates cleanly with the full Plagron nutrient range — Alga Grow, Terra Bloom, Hydro A&B and Green Sensation — as well as most third-party nutrient systems.
