Description

Stick-On Zip is a precision plant training and support tool that we have been supplying to UK indoor growers since 2017. Combining a soft, flexible foam strip with a self-adhesive backing and an integrated tie system, Stick-On Zips allow stems, branches and colas to be secured to trellis netting, bamboo canes, wire supports or grow tent structures without the risk of cutting or bruising plant tissue. In the final weeks of flowering when colas become heavy and canopy management is critical, having a reliable and gentle support system prevents branch breakage and keeps your canopy open for maximum light penetration.

Why Plant Support Matters in the Final Weeks of Flower

As flowering progresses and colas accumulate density and weight, unsupported branches flex and eventually snap — losing not just the damaged branch but the weeks of development it represents. In dense canopies where multiple branches compete for vertical space, unsupported growth collapses sideways, reducing light exposure and increasing the humidity and still-air conditions that promote Botrytis in late flower. Proper canopy support keeps each branch in its optimal position — vertical, separated from neighbours and fully exposed to light — right through to harvest. Stick-On Zips solve this problem elegantly: the foam backing prevents the pressure points that wire ties and cable ties create on swollen flower stems, while the simple attachment mechanism allows branches to be repositioned quickly without cutting and re-tying as the canopy evolves during the final flowering weeks.

Applications and Compatible Training Systems

Use Stick-On Zips with trellis netting, SCROG frames, bamboo canes, tomato spiral supports and any fixed structure within your grow tent or greenhouse. Peel the backing to expose the adhesive side and press onto the supporting structure, then loop the zip portion around the plant stem at the point of support. Reusable for multiple applications. Compatible with all growing systems and plant types — equally useful for tomatoes, peppers and other fruiting crops as for ornamental and specialist crops.
