Description
The Wireless Digital Thermometer and Hygrometer allows growers to monitor temperature and relative humidity in their growing space remotely — reading environmental conditions from outside the tent or grow room without opening doors or disturbing the controlled atmosphere inside. This wireless monitoring capability is one of the most practical environmental management tools available, eliminating the need to check conditions manually by entering the growing space and providing continuous visibility of the thermal and humidity environment your plants are experiencing.
The Value of Remote Environmental Monitoring
Every time you open a grow tent or grow room door to check temperature or humidity, you disturb the controlled environment inside. Warm air escapes during the cold winter months, or the cool air maintained by your air conditioning is compromised in summer. Humidity levels equalise with the surrounding space. And if your growing space is in a loft, basement, or outbuilding, physical access to check conditions may be inconvenient enough that checks happen infrequently — leaving you with little data about what your plants are actually experiencing between visits. A wireless temperature and humidity monitor solves all of these problems. The sensor unit stays inside the growing space at canopy level. The display unit can be read from wherever is convenient — on a desk, in the next room, or at the growing space entrance. Minimum and maximum recording functions show you the full range of conditions plants have experienced since the last reset, giving you the complete environmental picture that single-reading checks cannot provide. We recommend wireless monitoring equipment to every grower setting up a new growing space at The Horticulture Company — it is one of the simplest and most impactful environmental management investments available.
Setup and Practical Use
Pair the sensor and display unit according to the instructions — typically achieved by pressing a sync button on both units simultaneously within range of each other. Position the sensor at plant canopy height inside the growing space. The display unit shows current, minimum, and maximum readings for both temperature and humidity in real time. Replace batteries in both units as required, typically every six to twelve months depending on use.
