Ecothrive Charge — Insect Frass Soil Amendment
Ecothrive Charge is made from the frass (excrement and exoskeleton material) of black soldier fly larvae. It is exceptionally rich in chitin — a complex polysaccharide that triggers the plant’s natural immune responses, increasing its resistance to pests and diseases. Chitin is detected by plants as a signal of pest attack, priming their biochemical defence systems even in the absence of actual infestation.
Beyond its immunostimulant properties, Charge is a complete organic fertiliser — providing a balanced NPK profile alongside calcium, magnesium, trace elements and a diverse array of beneficial microorganisms. Mix into your growing medium at 1–2g per litre before planting, or top-dress throughout the vegetative cycle for a continuous slow-release input.
