Description
Biobizz Light Mix 50 Litre is an organically certified, low-nutrient soil growing medium from Biobizz, designed as a lightly fertilised substrate that gives growers maximum control over plant nutrition from the earliest stage of growth. We have been recommending Biobizz growing media to UK organic growers since 2017 as a high-quality, well-formulated substrate that works seamlessly with the Biobizz organic nutrient programme.
Light Fertilisation for Maximum Nutrient Control
Light Mix is intentionally low in pre-added nutrients, providing approximately two to three weeks of light feeding before plants require supplementary liquid nutrients. This lightly fertilised approach gives growers the ability to begin precise liquid feeding earlier in the plant’s life — important for growers who want to control the EC and nutrient ratio their seedlings and cuttings receive from the outset rather than waiting for a heavily pre-fertilised medium to exhaust its nutrient reserves before feeding can begin meaningfully.
The Biobizz Light Mix substrate is built around a blend of Baltic peat, perlite, and organic compost that provides excellent drainage, good aeration, and a naturally active biological community. The pre-existing microbial life in the mix begins breaking down organic matter and releasing mineral nutrients from the moment water is applied, creating a living root zone environment from first use without the need for additional microbial inoculation products.
Compatibility with the Biobizz Programme
Light Mix is specifically formulated to work optimally with Biobizz Bio·Grow and Bio·Bloom as the base nutrient programme. Begin liquid feeding with Bio·Grow at low concentration (1–2ml/L) from week one or two after transplanting, increasing concentration gradually as the plant develops. Compatible with all organic nutrient programmes. pH naturally buffers to the appropriate range for soil growing with Biobizz products.
Pairs with Bio·Grow, Bio·Bloom, Root·Juice, Fish·Mix and the full Biobizz range for a complete certified organic growing programme. An excellent, well-structured organic growing medium for UK cultivators.
