Description
CANNA Cannacure is a plant health and pest prevention spray from CANNA that combines a natural, oil-based insecticidal action with a plant health-enhancing treatment — killing existing soft-bodied insect pest infestations on contact while simultaneously improving the surface condition of plant leaves and reducing the vulnerability of treated plants to subsequent pest and disease pressure. Cannacure uses natural plant oils and biosurfactants as its active system, making it one of the more environmentally responsible pest control options available to indoor growers while delivering genuine effectiveness against common pests including spider mites, whitefly, and aphids.
How Cannacure Works Against Pests
The oil-based active system in Cannacure works by suffocating soft-bodied insects. When the spray contacts mites, aphids, and whitefly at any life stage, the oil coats their breathing apparatus (spiracles), preventing gas exchange and causing death within hours of application. This physical mode of action means pests cannot develop resistance to Cannacure — there is no biochemical target for resistance mutations to develop against, unlike conventional chemical insecticides where resistance builds over repeated generations. Following pest knock-down, the treatment leaves a light oil coating on leaf surfaces that improves the plant’s surface barrier function, increases leaf shine and health appearance, and makes the surface less hospitable to subsequent pest establishment. The surfactant components improve nutrient absorption through the leaf surface as a secondary benefit of regular application. At The Horticulture Company we recommend Cannacure as part of an integrated pest management programme — particularly for growers who want to avoid synthetic chemical pesticides.
Application and Frequency
Spray Cannacure thoroughly onto all plant surfaces including the underside of leaves, where most pest species feed and reproduce. Apply in the morning or evening when lights are off or at low intensity. Repeat every three to five days for two to three cycles to address all pest life stages. Can be used as a preventative measure at monthly intervals in pest-free growing environments to maintain surface protection.
