Compression Spray is a hand-pressurised spray applicator designed for applying foliar feeds, pest control sprays, pH-adjusted water and other liquid solutions directly to plant foliage and growing media in the grow room. A compression spray pump allows you to apply fine, even mist coverage over large leaf surfaces quickly and efficiently — far more thorough than a simple hand-trigger spray bottle. The pressurised delivery provides consistent droplet size and prevents the dripping and pooling that can occur with non-pressurised applicators, both of which are important when applying contact pest control products where even coverage determines effectiveness.
Use a compression spray for foliar feeding with calcium-magnesium supplements or amino acid treatments during vegetative growth, applying preventative pest and disease control products, and misting your propagation area to maintain humidity around cuttings before they have established roots. The ability to pump up to working pressure and then spray hands-free makes it significantly more practical than manual trigger sprayers for large canopies.
Maintenance and Best Practices
Always rinse the tank and spray mechanism thoroughly after each use to prevent product residue build-up and cross-contamination between applications. If switching between pest control products and foliar nutrients, dedicate separate sprayers to each product type to avoid unintended mixing. Check the pump seal and pressure release valve regularly to ensure safe operating pressure is maintained.
Apply foliar sprays during the lights-off period or when grow lights are dimmed to prevent leaf scorch from the magnification effect of water droplets on leaf surfaces under intense HID or LED lighting. An essential and practical tool for any grow room or garden environment.
