DutchPro Hydro/Coco Bloom for Hard Water is a professional two-part flowering nutrient from DutchPro, formulated for hydroponic and coco coir growing systems using hard tap water. Bloom Nutrition Calibrated for Hard Water Systems

Hard water in the UK contains 150–350ppm of calcium and magnesium carbonate depending on your location — a significant mineral background that dramatically affects the final balance of any nutrient solution mixed without accounting for it. DutchPro Hydro/Coco Bloom for Hard Water is specifically formulated around this hard water mineral contribution, reducing the calcium and magnesium in the nutrient concentrate so that the final mixed solution achieves the correct bloom-stage mineral balance without excess calcium that would block potassium and phosphorus uptake.

Getting this balance right during flowering is critical for maximum yield and quality. The elevated phosphorus and potassium demands of the bloom phase require a correctly proportioned mineral environment — even small imbalances in the calcium-to-potassium ratio, for instance, cause visible reductions in flower development that no amount of additional PK boosting can overcome if the root mineral balance is wrong at the base level. DutchPro’s matched formulation eliminates this foundational issue.

Application and EC Targets

Mix equal parts A and B at the manufacturer’s recommended dose, adjust pH to 5.8–6.2 for hydro and coco, and apply from the start of flowering through to one week before flush. Pair with DutchPro Explode during weeks one to three of bloom, then add DutchPro Multi Total and PK additives through weeks four to six. Finish with a thorough flush protocol before harvest.
