Adequate dissolved oxygen in your nutrient solution is fundamental to root health — it prevents anaerobic conditions that favour Pythium and other water mould pathogens, supports beneficial aerobic bacteria and ensures roots can absorb water and nutrients efficiently around the clock. The ET40 delivers consistent, quiet airflow through two outlets for versatile deployment in single or multi-reservoir setups.

How the Enviro ET40 Keeps Your Reservoir Oxygenated

The ET40 uses an electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism to produce continuous, pulsed airflow without the heat and noise associated with rotary compressors. At 40 litres per minute total output, it comfortably handles reservoir volumes up to 150–200 litres when paired with appropriately sized air stones. The dual-outlet configuration allows two separate air lines to be run simultaneously — useful in systems with split reservoirs, multiple DWC buckets or where air distribution manifolds are used to supply several air stones across a large container. The low power draw makes continuous 24-hour operation economical, and the electromagnetic design requires minimal maintenance over its operational life.

Setup, Positioning and Compatible Accessories

Position the ET40 above reservoir water level and fit non-return valves on both outlet lines to prevent back-siphon in the event of a power cut. Connect to standard 4mm or 6mm air tubing and run lines to air stones placed on the reservoir floor for maximum oxygenation. Replace air stones every 3–6 months as calcium deposits restrict airflow over time. For larger reservoirs or DWC systems requiring higher output, consider the Hailea V60 for 60 L/min performance.
