Description

Enviro ET60 Air Pump is a robust, high-output dual-outlet air pump that we have been supplying to UK hydroponic growers since 2017 for oxygenating large nutrient reservoirs, multi-bucket DWC arrays and aquaponic systems. With 60 litres per minute of total airflow output, the ET60 comfortably handles reservoir volumes up to 250 litres when paired with correctly sized air stones and distribution manifolds, making it one of the most capable pumps in our air supply range for large-scale grow room installations.

Why High-Volume Aeration Matters in Large DWC and Reservoir Systems

In large reservoirs and multi-bucket DWC systems, maintaining adequate dissolved oxygen throughout the entire water volume is more challenging than in compact setups. Temperature gradients, surface area limitations and the sheer volume of water all work against oxygenation. Underpowered air pumps create well-oxygenated zones near the air stones while leaving stagnant, oxygen-depleted pockets elsewhere in the reservoir — conditions that allow Pythium and other anaerobic pathogens to establish. The ET60’s 60 L/min output, distributed through multiple air stones positioned across the reservoir floor, creates thorough, full-volume circulation and oxygenation that eliminates these dead zones. The electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism runs cooler and quieter than rotary compressors, and is designed for the continuous 24-hour operation that reservoir oxygenation demands.

Installation, Outlet Configuration and Accessories

The dual-outlet configuration allows two independent air lines — connect each to its own distribution manifold to supply multiple air stones from a single pump. Fit non-return valves on both outlet lines as a precaution against back-siphon. Position the pump above reservoir water level. Clean or replace air stones every 3–6 months as calcification reduces airflow. For maximum aeration in very large reservoirs above 300 litres, consider running two ET60 units in parallel. Pair with a Hailea reservoir heater and a reservoir thermometer to manage dissolved oxygen and temperature together as complementary variables in your nutrient solution management programme.
