Description
Garden Wire 100m (2 x 50m Rolls) provides a comprehensive supply of versatile garden wire for plant training, support structures, trellis construction, and any task in the grow room or garden that requires a flexible, strong, and easy-to-work metallic wire. We have been supplying gardening and grow room accessories to UK growers since 2017, and garden wire is one of those fundamental toolkit items that every serious grower needs in ample supply — the 100m bundle (two 50m rolls) ensures you always have wire available when training, supporting, or building requires it.
Why Garden Wire Is an Essential Grow Room Tool
Garden wire is one of the most versatile tools in the indoor and outdoor grower’s arsenal. In the grow room, soft-coated green garden wire is used for horizontal screen of green (ScrOG) net support structures, for building simple training frames that guide plant growth across the canopy, for securing net pots and plant support structures to tent frames, and for countless improvised support and training tasks that arise during a grow. Unlike jute twine which stretches and can break under tension from heavy branches, wire maintains its structural integrity and holds exactly the shape you put it into, making it ideal for horizontal training where the goal is to maintain a specific canopy geometry over weeks. The plastic-coated finish on quality garden wire protects the metal core from corrosion in the humid grow room environment and provides a softer surface where wire contacts plant tissue, reducing the risk of stem damage during training. At 100 metres total, this bundle provides enough wire for comprehensive training across multiple grows.
How to Use Garden Wire for Plant Training
Cut wire to length using wire cutters or strong scissors. For horizontal training (LST), bend lengths of wire into hooks or anchors and use to pull branches down and outward, creating a wider, more even canopy. For ScrOG support, weave wire through the existing screen or create a new low-stress training grid using the wire across cane supports positioned above the canopy. When attaching wire near stems, always form a loose loop with enough slack to accommodate stem growth — tight wire will constrict growing stems as they thicken. Check training wire periodically throughout the grow and loosen as needed.
Pair Garden Wire with bamboo canes, plant clips, and grow rings for a complete plant training and support toolkit. Browse our full range of grow room training accessories for everything needed to manage your canopy effectively.
