AirFan Thermo 315 4250 m³/h is the highest-output model in the AirFan Thermo range that we have been supplying to UK commercial growers since 2017. With a 315mm bore and 4,250 m³/h maximum extraction capacity, this fan is designed for the largest commercial grow rooms and multi-light commercial facilities where total climate control demands exceed what smaller fan diameters can efficiently deliver. The integrated thermostat and proportional EC speed control ensure that this formidable extraction capacity is deployed intelligently — maintaining target temperatures without wasting energy running at maximum output when conditions don’t require it.

Engineering for Large Commercial Grow Rooms

At 4,250 m³/h through 315mm ducting, the AirFan Thermo 315 achieves a complete air change every minute in a 70m³ grow space — the equivalent of a large commercial greenhouse bay or a multi-light warehouse cultivation room. The EC motor technology at the heart of the Thermo range is critical at this scale: a traditional AC motor running a 315mm fan at fixed high speed would consume substantial energy and produce significant noise continuously. The EC motor’s efficiency curve remains high across the full speed range, so when the thermostat reduces speed to 40% during a cool period, energy consumption drops proportionally rather than plateauing as it would with an AC equivalent. Over a full growing year, this difference amounts to significant electricity savings at commercial scale.

Installation, Filter Sizing and Electrical Considerations

Use with 315mm diameter ducting throughout. At 4,250 m³/h, carbon filter sizing is critical — pair with a 315mm filter rated for at least 4,000 m³/h to avoid premature media exhaustion or flow restriction. The integrated thermostat requires no external controller. At this fan size, confirm the electrical circuit capacity — particularly if multiple fans are installed in the same facility. Pair with a Phresh 315mm filter and a 315mm acoustic silencer for a complete large-scale commercial extraction system.
