GRODAN STRIP of 6 x 4″ CUBES (LARGE HOLE 36MM)

Description

The Grodan Strip of Six 4-inch Cubes with Large Hole 36mm provides six pre-connected 4-inch rockwool cubes on a single strip, designed for high-volume propagation lines and commercial nursery operations where speed and consistency of transplanting are critical. The larger 36mm hole accommodates more developed root masses, making it particularly well suited to rooted cuttings or seedlings that have established in larger propagation media before transplanting to the 4-inch block.

The connected strip format maintains cube spacing during transport, storage, and pre-soaking, reducing handling time and preventing individual cubes from moving apart before they are placed in the growing system. Once placed in their final position — whether in rockwool slabs, NFT channels, or flood-and-drain trays — the strip can be separated at the perforations between blocks.

Grodan stonewool is the world’s leading substrate in commercial protected cropping. The precise manufacturing process controls fibre diameter, density, and orientation to deliver consistent water retention (approximately 70% water to 30% air at field capacity) and a dimensionally stable structure that maintains its form throughout the grow cycle.
