The HR-15 Digital Humidistat HR-DHDC is a precision humidity controller that monitors relative humidity in your growing space and switches connected humidification or dehumidification equipment on and off automatically in response to real-time humidity readings. Accurate, automated humidity control is one of the most impactful environmental management investments a serious grower can make — maintaining correct humidity throughout the growing cycle protects against the key humidity-driven crop failures, including Botrytis, powdery mildew, and the developmental problems caused by chronically low humidity during early growth stages.

Automated Humidity Control vs Manual Management

Without automated humidity control, growers must check humidity manually and adjust humidifier or dehumidifier settings in response to what they observe. This approach creates several problems. Humidity changes continuously — driven by plant transpiration, lighting cycles, temperature changes, and outside air conditions. A single manual check each day captures only a snapshot of conditions that may have been significantly different for hours before and after the measurement. Conditions during the dark period — when many growers are not present — may be completely unmanaged. The HR-DHDC eliminates this uncertainty. It reads humidity continuously and responds immediately when conditions drift outside the target range. This means your humidity is maintained within a narrow band around your target at all times of day and night, throughout the entire growing cycle — without any manual intervention required beyond setting the target. Setting Up the HR-DHDC

The controller includes a sensor probe that should be positioned at plant canopy level in the growing space. Set your target humidity using the digital display. Select whether you want the controller to operate a humidifier (activate when humidity falls below target) or a dehumidifier (activate when humidity rises above target). The hysteresis setting prevents rapid cycling that shortens equipment life. Compatible with all standard UK humidifiers and dehumidifiers rated within the socket load capacity.
