Description
RAM Wall Humidifier is a high-output ultrasonic humidifier that we have been supplying to UK indoor growers since 2017 for maintaining target relative humidity in grow rooms, grow tents and commercial cultivation spaces. Designed for wall or bracket mounting, the RAM Wall Humidifier keeps the water reservoir and control unit off the grow room floor, improving layout efficiency and reducing the risk of reservoir spillage damaging electrical equipment or creating slip hazards. Its ultrasonic misting technology produces a cool, fine water vapour that raises humidity without adding heat — essential in grow rooms where temperature management is already demanding.
Why Humidity Management Is Critical Across All Growth Stages
Relative humidity influences nearly every physiological process in a growing plant. Stomatal regulation, transpiration rate, nutrient uptake speed and susceptibility to airborne pathogens are all directly affected by the humidity of the surrounding air. During propagation and early vegetative growth, high humidity (70–80% RH) reduces the vapour pressure deficit and keeps unrooted cuttings turgid while they develop their root systems. As plants mature through vegetative growth, target humidity drops to 60–70% to support healthy transpiration and strong growth. In flowering, a progressive reduction to 40–50% RH prevents the establishment of Botrytis (bud rot) and powdery mildew in the increasingly dense canopy. The RAM Wall Humidifier’s adjustable output allows the grower to add precisely as much humidity as the space requires without over-humidifying — with a circulation fan distributing the mist evenly through the canopy.
Water Quality, Capacity and Placement
Use distilled or RO-purified water wherever possible in ultrasonic humidifiers — hard tap water deposits white mineral dust on surfaces as dissolved minerals are aerosolised with the mist. The wall-mount bracket positions the humidifier at an effective height for mid-canopy mist distribution. Clean the water reservoir and transducer plate weekly to prevent mineral scale build-up that reduces output. Pair with a RAM dehumidifier for bidirectional humidity management and a digital hygrometer to monitor RH continuously throughout the growing cycle.
