Automated Temperature Management for Consistent Growing Conditions

Plant growth, nutrient uptake, photosynthesis efficiency and the risk of heat stress all vary significantly with temperature. Even modest temperature deviations from the optimal 20–28°C growing range cause measurable reductions in plant performance. Manual temperature management — turning fans up when the room gets too hot, adding heating during cold lights-off periods — requires constant attention and never achieves the consistent conditions that automated control provides. The DigiStep controller monitors room temperature continuously and activates or deactivates connected equipment immediately when temperature moves outside your set parameters.

The digital display provides clear temperature readings and set point confirmation, and the step function allows you to program different set points for different temperature zones — useful for activating high-speed extraction before the maximum temperature threshold is reached, rather than making a single step from low-speed to full extraction at the maximum threshold. This graduated approach maintains more stable temperature conditions with less extreme swings.

Installation and Equipment Compatibility

Connect your inline fan, speed controller, heater or any other temperature-responsive equipment to the DigiStep’s switched outlet(s). Position the temperature probe at canopy level in a representative location within your growing space. Set your desired temperature threshold and hysteresis range, and allow the controller to manage your equipment automatically.

Compatible with all single-phase electrical equipment within the unit’s rated current capacity. Pairs with a ThermoPro thermometer for secondary monitoring, Systemair fans and speed controllers for fan management, and tube heaters for cold-period heating.
