Description

NEWA MICROJET MC320 PUMP is the replacement submersible pump for the Newa Microjet MC320 recirculating system, sized for smaller aeroponic and DWC applications running two to four growing sites. We have been supplying Newa Microjet system components to UK hydroponics growers since 2017, and stocking a spare MC320 pump is one of the simplest precautions a grower can take to prevent a pump failure from ending a grow prematurely.

MC320 Pump Performance and OXY System

The MC320 pump powers the Newa Microjet OXY system’s recirculating flow through the system’s distribution ring and misting heads, delivering aerated nutrient solution to root zones across the system’s growing sites. Like all Newa Microjet OXY pumps, the MC320 incorporates air intake ports above the waterline that entrain air into the water stream, producing an oxygenated mist at each spray head rather than plain liquid. This continuous micro-oxygenation at the root surface is the feature that sets Microjet OXY systems apart from standard drip-feed or static DWC and makes them particularly effective for fast-cycling propagation and early vegetative growth applications.

When to Service or Replace the MC320 Pump

Service the impeller every four to six weeks during active grows — remove the pump, soak in a 5% citric acid solution for 30 minutes to dissolve calcium and magnesium scale, then rinse thoroughly before reinstalling. If the pump runs but output has reduced significantly, or if it makes grinding or rattling sounds, the impeller or bearing is worn and replacement is preferable to continuing with reduced performance. A pump that fails silently overnight in an aeroponic system — particularly during hot summer conditions — can cause complete root zone desiccation in a matter of hours. Keep a spare on the shelf.

Keep the Newa Microjet MC320 Pump alongside your Microjet OXY system, spare misting heads, and Pythoff reservoir hygiene solution for a fully maintained aeroponic setup ready for each new cycle.
