Description
Plagron Alga Bloom is a concentrated organic flowering base nutrient from Plagron, derived from seaweed and other natural organic sources, providing complete bloom-stage nutrition through biological mineral cycling rather than synthetic mineral salt formulations. We have been recommending Plagron’s organic nutrient range to UK growers since 2017 as a well-developed, premium Dutch organic growing system for soil cultivators who want to grow organically without compromising on yield quality.
Organic Bloom Nutrition from Seaweed and Natural Sources
Plagron Alga Bloom delivers the phosphorus and potassium-rich nutrition required for flower development through naturally derived, organically certified sources — primarily seaweed (kelp) extracts supplemented with plant-based organic compounds. The organic mineral forms in Alga Bloom are processed by soil biology into plant-available mineral ions, creating a natural feeding cycle that builds soil health over successive growing cycles while delivering the bloom-stage nutrition your plants need for productive flowering.
Organic nutrients feed through the soil food web — bacteria and fungi break down the organic compounds and release mineral nutrition in the root zone over time. This biological mediation buffers nutrient availability and reduces the risk of over-feeding, making organic nutrients like Alga Bloom more forgiving than synthetic alternatives in the hands of less experienced growers. The seaweed origin also provides natural plant hormones and trace minerals that support flower development and terpene production.
Application and Programme Integration
Apply Alga Bloom from the first week of flowering through to one week before harvest. Shake well before use. Apply at the manufacturer’s recommended dose — typically 4–8ml per litre depending on growth stage and plant size. Check EC and adjust watering volume rather than nutrient concentration when managing feed levels in organic soil growing.
Pairs with Plagron Alga Grow for a complete organic base nutrient programme. Complement with Plagron Bat Guano during flowering and Plagron Megaworm as a soil conditioner for a full Plagron organic soil programme.
