Plug Life® Peatmix is a plug for growing seeds, cuttings and tissue cultures. Extremely easy to use, environmentally friendly and creates fast and robust rooting.

Plug Life® Trays provide nutrients during the first 2 weeks of growth. With a stable pH of 5.7 (±0.2) and an EC of 0.8 (±0.2).

Plug Life® Peatmix is almost entirely organic, made up of a mixture of peat, cocopeat, fertiliser and other components & is 100% compostable.

Plug Life® Peatmix is ready to use and comes in a 104 cell tray and a 12mm bottom for easy removal.

The 104-cell tray format is designed for growers propagating in volume — taking a full batch of cuttings or germinating a tray of seeds in one go rather than a handful at a time. Each cell is sized to hold a single cutting or seed through to the point where roots are established enough to transplant, and the 12mm bottom opening on each plug makes removal straightforward without disturbing the developing root system, which is one of the more common ways young cuttings get set back during transplanting. Because the pH and EC are pre-balanced at the factory, Plug Life needs no pre-conditioning before use — unlike rockwool cubes, which typically need a pH-adjusted soak first, these are ready straight from the pack. The near-fully organic composition (peat and cocopeat with fertiliser) means the plugs break down naturally over time, so most growers transplant the whole plug directly into the next medium rather than trying to remove it. Keep the tray in a humidity dome during the early rooting period to maintain the moisture level the plugs are designed to hold, and reduce dome ventilation gradually as roots establish to harden plants off before they move to their final growing position.

Store any unused trays flat and away from direct sunlight to preserve the pre-set pH and EC balance until you’re ready to use them, and check each cell is evenly moist before sowing or inserting cuttings for the most consistent results across a full tray.
