How to Use the Jiffy 7 38mm 60 Cell Tray

Add warm water to the tray and allow pellets to expand fully — this takes approximately 5 minutes. Drain excess water. Make a small planting hole in the centre of each pellet using a dibber or pencil to the appropriate depth for your seed or cutting. Sow seeds or insert cuttings (pre-treated with Clonex gel for cuttings) and close the substrate gently around the base. Place under a propagator dome to maintain humidity, and position under a seedling LED or in a warm propagation area at 24–26°C. Monitor moisture levels and add water to the tray base as needed to keep pellets moist but not waterlogged. Transplant when roots are visible at the sides of the pellets.
