RAM 20 Litre Dehumidifier is a high-capacity grow room dehumidifier that we have been supplying to UK indoor growers since 2017 for maintaining optimal relative humidity throughout all stages of the growing cycle. Humidity management is one of the most critical — and frequently underestimated — environmental variables in indoor growing. Excessive humidity promotes Botrytis (bud rot) and powdery mildew, reduces transpiration efficiency and creates the damp microclimates that accelerate pathogen spread. The RAM 20L extracts up to 20 litres of moisture per day, handling the humidity load of medium to large grow rooms effectively.

Why Dehumidification Is Non-Negotiable in Dense Canopy Growing

During the vegetative phase, most growers target 60–70% RH to support vigorous transpiration and nutrient uptake. As plants move into flowering, relative humidity must be brought down progressively — ideally to 45–55% in early flower and 40–45% in late flower when dense bud development creates internal canopy microclimates with significantly higher local humidity than the surrounding air. Botrytis can establish in a dense bud at 60% RH even when room-average humidity reads lower. The RAM 20L dehumidifier removes moisture from the air before it can condense on cold surfaces or accumulate in dense canopy zones. With a 20-litre-per-day extraction rate and an integrated hygrostat that allows set-point humidity control, the RAM 20L maintains your target RH automatically without constant manual adjustment.

Features, Drainage and Grow Room Placement

The RAM 20L features a built-in humidistat for automatic operation at a user-set RH target, a removable water collection tank and a continuous drain hose connection for operation without manual tank emptying in large grow rooms where 20 litres per day would fill the tank rapidly. Position the unit at canopy height or above for the most effective moisture extraction from the air zone where transpiration is highest. Pair with a Maxibright pedestal fan to circulate dehumidified air evenly through the canopy and with an inline extraction fan to manage the heat the dehumidifier adds to the grow room air.
