Description

Remo Nature’s Candy is a carbohydrate and sweetener supplement from Remo Nutrients that we have been supplying to UK growers since 2017 for enhancing flower development, improving aromatic terpene profiles and feeding the beneficial microbial communities in the root zone. Based on a blend of natural sugars and carbohydrate sources including molasses, Nature’s Candy provides an immediately available energy source for both the plant and its root microbiome — supporting the translocation of carbohydrates into developing flowers and feeding the bacteria and fungi whose metabolic activity unlocks further nutrient availability in the root zone.

How Carbohydrate Supplementation Benefits Flowering Plants

During peak flowering, plants expend enormous energy producing sugars through photosynthesis and translocating them to reproductive sinks in the developing buds. While a well-lit, well-fed plant produces sugars internally, supplementing with exogenous carbohydrates provides an additional carbon supply that reduces the metabolic demands on the plant — allowing more of its photosynthetic output to contribute to resin and terpene synthesis rather than basic structural carbohydrates. The molasses fraction in Nature’s Candy also provides a rich food source for beneficial soil bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi in organic and bioponic growing systems, stimulating microbial activity that mineralises organic matter and improves nutrient cycling. The result is improved flower density, enhanced aroma and better overall growing medium biological health in the late flowering phase.

Application Rate and Programme Integration

Use Remo Nature’s Candy at 2–4 ml per litre from week 3 of flowering through to the start of flush. Compatible with all growing media including soil, coco and hydroponic systems — though highest benefits are seen in organic and bioponic soil grows where the microbial feeding component is most active. Do not use in recirculating hydroponic systems without adequate reservoir oxygenation, as high sugar concentrations can promote anaerobic pathogen growth.
