Description
RHINO SKIN 1L is Advanced Nutrients’ premium potassium silicate supplement that builds genuine structural resilience into every plant that receives it. We have been recommending Rhino Skin to UK growers since 2017 because silicon is one of the most overlooked and most impactful additives in the modern grow room — and Rhino Skin delivers it in the highly bioavailable monosilicic acid form that plants can actually absorb and utilise at the cellular level.
How Silicon Strengthens Plants at the Cellular Level
Silicon is deposited by the plant into cell walls throughout stems, leaves, and trichome bases, creating a physical structure that is measurably tougher and more pest-resistant than silicon-deficient plant tissue. Growers using Rhino Skin consistently observe thicker, more rigid stems that support heavier flower development without bowing, denser trichome production on flower surfaces, and notably improved resistance to powdery mildew and spider mite damage — both of which struggle to penetrate silicon-reinforced leaf tissue. Beyond physical protection, silicon also acts as a stress buffer during temperature extremes, reducing the growth check that plants experience during hot summer periods in UK grow rooms. The 1-litre size is ideal for home growers running one or two tents through a full season.
How to Use Rhino Skin in Your Feed Programme
Add Rhino Skin to the reservoir at 2ml per litre from week one of vegetative growth through to the final two weeks of flower. Always add Rhino Skin to the reservoir before other nutrients, as silicic acid can interact with certain mineral forms if mixed directly. Silicon availability is best maintained at pH 5.8–6.5 — at lower pH the silicic acid forms are less stable and uptake efficiency drops. Rhino Skin is compatible with all Advanced Nutrients programmes and integrates well with CANNA, Shogun, and BioBizz base nutrient systems.
Combine Rhino Skin 1L with Voodoo Juice for root development and B-52 for stress resilience to build the strongest, most productive plants possible through every stage of your growing cycle.
