As plants grow, old and dead root tissue accumulates in the medium. Without enzymatic activity, this dead matter becomes a breeding ground for pathogens including Pythium and Fusarium. Zenzyme’s enzyme complex targets cellulase, hemicellulase and glucanase activity — breaking down the cell walls of dead organic material rapidly.
