Description

Syringe is a precision liquid measuring and dispensing tool used for accurately dosing small volumes of concentrated nutrients, additives, pH adjustment solutions and rooting hormones in the grow room. We have been supplying measuring and dosing accessories to UK hydroponic growers since 2017, and a quality syringe is one of those inexpensive but indispensable pieces of equipment that makes accurate nutrient mixing significantly more reliable.

Precision Dosing for Small Volumes and Concentrated Products

Many of the most potent and effective additives in the grow room are used at doses of 0.5–2ml per litre — volumes that are essentially impossible to measure accurately with a standard measuring jug or even a small measuring cup. A graduated syringe measures these small volumes with 0.1–0.5ml precision, ensuring your highly concentrated rooting hormones, enzyme products, PK boosters and specialist additives are applied at exactly the right dose rather than a rough approximation.

Consistent, accurate dosing is particularly important when using multiple additives simultaneously — stacking several products at imprecise doses makes EC management and deficiency diagnosis significantly harder, as you cannot reliably know what your plants are actually receiving. A syringe eliminates this source of variability from your feeding programme.

Maintenance and Dedicated Use

Rinse the syringe thoroughly with clean water after each use to prevent residue from a previous product contaminating your next measurement. For products that are particularly sticky or difficult to rinse fully — rooting gels, thick organic additives — dedicate a separate syringe to each product to prevent cross-contamination. Most syringes can be cleaned with warm water and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol for thorough sanitisation.
