Description
Terra Aquatica CalMag Supplement is a professional calcium and magnesium corrector from General Hydroponics Europe (now operating under the Terra Aquatica brand), providing a precisely formulated, pH-stabilised solution of calcium, magnesium, and iron that corrects deficiencies and supports the elevated calcium and magnesium demands of fast-growing crops under high-intensity lighting. Terra Aquatica is part of the GHE group, one of the most experienced and research-backed nutrient companies in European horticulture, and their CalMag formulation reflects decades of understanding of calcium and magnesium dynamics in hydroponic and coco growing systems.
The Technical Advantage of Terra Aquatica CalMag
What distinguishes Terra Aquatica CalMag from simpler calcium and magnesium supplements is the inclusion of chelated iron alongside the calcium and magnesium, and the precise pH stabilisation of the final formulation. Iron is intimately connected to calcium and magnesium function in plant physiology — it is required for chlorophyll synthesis and is often deficient in the same conditions that produce calcium and magnesium shortfalls. By including chelated iron, Terra Aquatica CalMag addresses a broader nutritional correction than calcium and magnesium alone. The pH stability of the product means it mixes predictably without causing pH swings in your nutrient solution — important when multiple products are being combined in a professional nutrient programme and accurate pH management is critical. We have been stocking Terra Aquatica (formerly GHE) products at The Horticulture Company since 2017. Their product development rigour is among the highest in the European nutrient market.
Application and Dosage
Terra Aquatica CalMag Supplement is used at 1–2ml per litre of nutrient solution throughout the vegetative and early flowering phases, and anywhere calcium and magnesium deficiency symptoms are observed. Add to water first before base nutrients. Compatible with all growing media and nutrient brands. For coco growers on fresh substrate, use at the higher dosage for the first two to three weeks before reducing to maintenance dosing as the medium’s cation exchange capacity becomes saturated.
