Description

AquaKing Q4003 Submersible Pump 7000 L/Hr is a commercial-grade high-flow water pump that we have been supplying to UK professional growers and water feature operators since 2017. Delivering a maximum flow rate of 7,000 litres per hour, the Q4003 is one of the most powerful submersible pumps we stock and is designed for demanding applications including large flood and drain systems, high-head water transfer between large tanks, commercial NFT installations and outdoor water feature pumping where volume and reliability are paramount.

Where the AquaKing Q4003 Is the Right Choice

At 7,000 L/hr, the Q4003 goes well beyond the requirements of hobbyist grow rooms and into the territory of commercial cultivation. In large-scale flood and drain operations with multiple grow benches totalling several hundred litres of combined tray volume, a pump that can flood the entire system rapidly and uniformly is essential — the Q4003 fills 500 litres in approximately 4 minutes at maximum flow. In large recirculating DWC or RDWC (recirculating deep water culture) arrays where continuous high-volume circulation is required to maintain uniform nutrient temperature and EC across many buckets, the Q4003’s sustained output ensures consistent conditions throughout the system. The three-speed (Q4003) configuration allows output to be reduced for smaller applications or during initial system commissioning when lower flow rates are preferable for plant establishment.

Installation, Maintenance and Electrical Ratings

Install submerged with the inlet strainer fitted at all times. Clean the strainer regularly — weekly in reservoirs containing organic additives, fortnightly in mineral-only systems. The large-bore outlet accommodates 25–32mm pipe fittings for minimal flow restriction. Mount horizontally on the reservoir floor for maximum prime coverage. Connect via a suitably rated timer or contactor for automated flood cycles — check the pump’s power draw against your timer’s rated current capacity. For large commercial RDWC or transfer applications, pair with a DS1000 or HX1500 for secondary pumping duties and a Hailea air pump for reservoir oxygenation.
