Description

Combi Ducting 315mm / 12″ is large-diameter flexible aluminium ducting used for high-volume air extraction and fresh air intake in commercial-scale grow rooms and large indoor cultivation spaces. We have been supplying professional-grade ducting to UK growers since 2017, and the 315mm diameter is the right specification for large inline fans handling high cubic metre per hour airflow volumes in spaces of 3m x 3m and above.

Matching Ducting Diameter to Fan Performance

Using the correct ducting diameter for your fan is critical for system efficiency. Reducing ducting diameter at any point in your extraction system creates back pressure that reduces airflow and increases fan motor load — ultimately reducing performance and shortening fan lifespan. 315mm ducting is designed to work with the largest inline fans available for grow room use, ensuring your extraction system operates at its rated performance without restriction.

The aluminium construction of Combi Ducting provides excellent flexibility for routing through tight angles and around obstacles while maintaining structural integrity and resistance to crushing. The spiral wire reinforcement keeps the ducting from collapsing under negative pressure, which is a common failure mode of lower-quality flexible ducting in heavily extracted rooms.

Installation Guidelines

Keep ducting runs as short and straight as possible to minimise flow resistance. Each 90-degree bend in your ducting reduces effective airflow by the equivalent of several metres of straight duct — plan your routing carefully during initial grow room setup. Secure ducting to fan flanges and filter collars using correctly sized Fast Clamps for an airtight connection.

For very long ducting runs or systems with unavoidable complex routing, consider upgrading to a higher-powered fan to compensate for the additional resistance.
