Description

Ducting Connector is a rigid push-fit or screw-type joining piece used to connect two sections of flexible aluminium ducting in a grow room extraction system. Creating Seamless, Leak-Free Ducting Connections

Grow room ventilation systems often require ducting runs longer than a single length of flexible ducting can provide, or ducting sections to be joined after routing around obstacles or through structural gaps. The ducting connector provides a secure, airtight join between two flexible ducting sections without reducing the internal diameter at the joint — maintaining full airflow capacity through the connection rather than creating a constriction point that would add resistance and reduce fan performance.

Air leaks at ducting joints are a common and often overlooked cause of poor odour control in grow room extraction systems. Even small leaks allow unfiltered air containing odour to escape from the ducting before reaching the carbon filter, bypassing the filtration entirely. Secure, well-sealed connections at every joint in your ducting run ensure that all extracted air passes through the carbon filter as intended, maintaining effective odour control throughout your growing cycle.

Installation and Sealing

Push both ducting ends firmly over the connector’s barbed or flanged ends until fully seated. For an airtight seal, wrap each joint with aluminium foil tape — a far more reliable long-term seal than conventional tape or cable ties alone. Check all connections at initial system setup and after any ducting modifications to verify seal integrity before starting a new growing cycle.
