DUCTING CONNECTOR

Description

The Ducting Connector is a rigid, moulded plastic joiner designed to create a smooth internal-bore connection between two lengths of flexible aluminium or combi ducting — preventing the flow restriction and turbulence that occurs when ducting ends are pushed together directly without a fitting. Used at all junction points in a grow room ventilation system where two duct runs need to be joined in a straight line, it maintains the full internal diameter of the duct through the joint and provides a smooth surface for airflow rather than the corrugated interior of the flexible duct itself.

Maintaining consistent internal diameter through all fittings in a ducting run is one of the most important and most commonly overlooked aspects of ventilation system design. Any reduction in bore at a joint increases the velocity pressure that the fan must overcome and reduces the effective CFM delivered at the exhaust point. A correctly sized and fitted connector maintains the system’s design airflow performance from fan to exhaust without hidden efficiency losses.

The connector features smooth internal walls with barbed external ends designed to grip the inner wall of both flexible and rigid ducting. Compatible with standard 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, and 200mm ducting diameters depending on the size selected. Secure with Systemair Fast Clamps or worm-drive hose clamps for a fully airtight joint.
