Description
Irrigation Inline Filter is a micro-irrigation fitting designed to remove particulate matter, sediment and debris from your feed water line before it reaches dripper emitters, spray heads or other precision irrigation components. We have been supplying irrigation fittings and hydroponic system components to UK growers since 2017, and inline filters are a practical and underutilised component that significantly reduces dripper blockages and maintenance requirements in dripper-fed growing systems.
Protecting Your Irrigation System from Blockages
Dripper emitters have precision-engineered orifices that deliver a controlled, calibrated flow rate. Even very small particles in your nutrient solution — organic matter from nutrients, calcium carbonate flakes from hard water, algae fragments, or fine sediment from growing media — can partially or fully block these orifices over time, causing uneven watering and the dry root zones and nutrient deficiencies that follow. An inline filter positioned between your pump and your dripper manifold captures this particulate matter before it can reach the emitters, maintaining consistent flow rates and eliminating the time-consuming maintenance of individually clearing blocked drippers.
The mesh or screen inside the inline filter is fine enough to capture the particles that cause dripper blockages while allowing the full flow volume of your system to pass through without significant pressure reduction. The filter body can be unscrewed, cleaned and reinstalled in minutes, keeping maintenance simple and infrequent.
Installation and Maintenance
Install inline with your main supply line — typically between the pump outlet and the first manifold or distribution point. Orient with the flow direction arrow on the filter body aligned with your supply direction. Clean the filter screen every two to four weeks, or whenever you notice a reduction in overall system flow rate. Flush with clean water and check the screen for damage at each cleaning.
Compatible with all standard 13mm and 16mm irrigation tubing. Pairs with Arrow Drippers, dripper manifolds and submersible pumps for a reliable, low-maintenance automated irrigation system. A small investment that eliminates one of the most common sources of frustration in dripper-fed systems.
