IRRIGATION END PLUG

Description

The 13mm Irrigation End Plug is a precision-moulded fitting designed to terminate a 13mm mainline or lateral irrigation pipe cleanly and securely, preventing flow from an unused port or line end in dripper-based watering systems. An essential consumable for any grower building or maintaining a custom drip irrigation layout.

In a well-designed dripper system, every connection point in the mainline that is not being used for an active dripper stake needs to be plugged to maintain system pressure and prevent flow bypass. An unplugged port causes the system to lose pressure upstream of the active drippers, resulting in uneven flow distribution and inadequate delivery to the drip stakes farthest from the pump. A correctly fitted end plug eliminates this problem, ensuring each active dripper delivers its calibrated volume per irrigation cycle.

The plug push-fits directly onto the outside of a 13mm irrigation tube. It uses a barbed or compression-grip fitting creating a watertight seal under the working pressure of a standard submersible pump. No tools are required for installation, and plugs can be removed and repositioned if the irrigation layout is changed. Stock up when setting up a new system — they are easily lost and it is always worth having spares.
