PLAGRON VITA RACE 250ML is the small-format version of Plagron’s fast-acting foliar iron and trace mineral spray — the right size for home growers who use foliar nutrition as a responsive tool when deficiency symptoms appear rather than as part of a regular weekly programme. We have been recommending Plagron Vita Race to UK growers since 2017 because foliar-applied iron and magnesium correction is significantly faster than root-zone application when a deficiency is actively progressing in new growth.

Fast-Response Foliar Nutrition in a Compact Format

When interveinal chlorosis appears on new growth — the tell-tale yellowing between green veins that signals iron or manganese lockout — the clock is ticking on photosynthesis efficiency and overall plant vigour. Root-zone application of corrective nutrients requires the corrective minerals to be absorbed through the root system, transported to deficient leaf tissue, and incorporated into chlorophyll — a process that can take three to five days before improvement is visible. Foliar application of Vita Race delivers chelated iron, magnesium, and zinc directly to the leaf surface, where uptake through the stomata and cuticle begins within hours and visual improvement in new growth is typically seen within 24–48 hours. The 250ml bottle provides approximately 125 litres of spray solution at 2ml per litre — more than enough for several acute correction episodes across a growing season for most home growers.

Application Instructions

Dilute at 2ml per litre and apply as a fine mist to both leaf surfaces — especially the underside — during the dark period or under reduced light intensity to prevent concentrated spray droplets causing light-refraction burn. Apply two to three times over one week for acute correction, then investigate and resolve the root-zone cause of the lockout. Do not apply to flowering plants.
