Description
SHOGUN Samurai Terra Grow is a premium soil-based vegetative base nutrient that we have been recommending to UK growers since 2017. Formulated for use in peat-based, coco-peat and natural soil growing media, Samurai Terra Grow delivers a nitrogen-forward NPK profile calibrated for the rapid vegetative growth phase — supporting vigorous internode extension, leaf production and root development from propagation through to the transition into flowering. SHOGUN’s sophisticated chelation chemistry ensures that all micronutrients remain plant-available across the slightly acidic to neutral pH range typical of well-managed soil growing (6.0–6.8).
Why SHOGUN Terra Grow Outperforms Generic Soil Nutrients
Many soil nutrients on the market are designed around the assumption that the soil itself contributes significant mineralisation and buffering, and therefore deliver only partial nutrition. SHOGUN Samurai Terra Grow is formulated to provide complete and precisely calibrated nutrition regardless of the baseline fertility of the growing medium — making it equally effective in fresh, unfertilised peat-based mixes and in partially pre-fertilised commercial potting soils. The nitrogen fraction combines ammoniacal and nitrate nitrogen sources to deliver both immediate availability (nitrate) and slower-release sustained feeding (ammonium) within a single product. The full micronutrient spectrum — including iron, manganese, zinc, boron, molybdenum and copper — is provided in chelated forms that remain stable and soluble across the relevant soil pH range, preventing the micronutrient lockout that commonly occurs in soil growing at higher pH values.
Feed Schedule and Additive Integration
Use Samurai Terra Grow from first feeding of seedlings or rooted cuttings at 2 ml per litre, increasing to 4 ml per litre for established vegetative plants. Target pH 6.0–6.8 in soil. As plants transition to flowering, switch to SHOGUN Samurai Terra Bloom. Complement the programme with SHOGUN Katana Roots for root development, SHOGUN Zenzyme for root zone health and SHOGUN CalMag if growing in soft water areas or heavily amended media with low background calcium.
