The Complete Biobizz Feeding Chart for Soil — Expert Guide

April 2026 | Reading time: approx. 6 minutes

I’ve been recommending Biobizz to growers for years — and not just because it’s easy to use. The reason it works so consistently is that it’s built around living soil. The organic inputs feed the microbial life in your growing medium, which in turn feeds your plants. It’s a more forgiving system than synthetic feeding, and the results speak for themselves.

That said, a lot of growers make the same mistakes when they first pick up the Biobizz chart. They either follow it too rigidly, or they don’t understand the difference between the All-Mix and Light-Mix schedules. This guide walks you through everything — from what each product does, to how to read the biobizz nutrient chart week by week, to practical tips that will genuinely improve your results.

What Makes Biobizz Different?

Founded in the Netherlands in 1992, Biobizz was one of the first companies to bring certified organic nutrients to indoor growers at scale. Their products are built around 100% natural, biological inputs — Norwegian kelp, worm castings, fish hydrolysate, and sugar beet molasses. Unlike synthetic mineral nutrients, these inputs work with the soil ecosystem rather than bypassing it.

The result? More resilient plants, improved flavour profiles at harvest, and a much lower risk of nutrient burn compared to traditional mineral feeding. You also don’t need to adjust your pH as precisely — though keeping your feed water between 6.2 and 6.5 is still good practice with any biobizz nutrients.

Understanding the Biobizz Product Range

Before you can properly use the Biobizz chart, it helps to understand what each product actually does:

The Official Biobizz Soil Feeding Schedule

Below is the official Biobizz feeding chart for soil grows. Note there are two columns — one for All-Mix and one for Light-Mix substrate. All doses are given in ml per litre of water.

How to Read the Biobizz Chart — Week by Week

The biobizz feed chart is laid out in weekly columns, with doses in ml per litre of water. Here is the broad rhythm of a typical soil grow:

All-Mix vs Light-Mix: Which Schedule Applies to You?

This is the most common point of confusion when using the Biobizz nutrient chart for the first time. Here is the key difference:

All-Mix is a pre-loaded organic soil packed with worm castings, perlite, and enough nutrition to feed seedlings for 2–4 weeks without additional input. Because it starts rich, you hold back on nutrients longer and use lower doses overall.

Light-Mix has a much lighter nutritional base — better suited to growers who want precise control, or for starting seeds and cuttings. You will introduce fertilisers earlier in the cycle and may need to increase doses more aggressively through veg.

A very common mistake is following the All-Mix schedule when growing in Light-Mix. Plants will often show clear nitrogen deficiency by week 4–5 if underfed. Always double-check which column you are reading from.

5 Practical Tips for Getting the Best from the Biobizz Chart

  1. Warm the substrate before planting. Moisten your growing medium and leave it 24–36 hours before transplanting. This activates the microbial life in the soil and prepares it to process organic inputs properly.
  2. Do not start feeding too early. Wait until plants are 10–15cm tall or have developed 2–4 true leaves. Before this point, the root zone is too small to handle fertilisers and you risk stressing the plant unnecessarily.
  3. Flush with plain water every third feeding. In soil, this prevents organic compound build-up. Aim for around 20% run-off with each watering to flush accumulated salts from the medium.
  4. pH still matters with organics. Biobizz buffers help, but keep your feed water between 6.2 and 6.5. Below 6.0 or above 7.0 you will start to see micronutrient lockout even with biological inputs.
  5. Use the chart as a guide, not a rulebook. Every strain, every environment, and every batch of substrate behaves differently. Pale green leaves suggest more nitrogen is needed. Dark, twisted leaves or tip burn means back off the feed. Your plants will always tell you more than any chart can.

A Note on Autoflowers

If you are growing autoflowers with Biobizz nutrients, the same products apply — but the timing is compressed. Most autos complete their cycle in 9–11 weeks from seed, so you run a shortened version of the soil schedule.

Start at reduced doses — around 60–70% of the chart values — since autoflowers are generally more sensitive to overfeeding. Transition to BioBloom earlier than you would with photoperiods, typically around week 3–4 when you see the first pre-flowers forming. Top·Max can go in from week 4 onwards.

Biobizz Feeding Chart FAQ

Do I need to adjust pH when using Biobizz?

You do not need to be as precise as with synthetic nutrients, but aiming for 6.2–6.5 is still recommended. Organic buffers help but do not eliminate pH sensitivity entirely, especially in lighter substrates.

Can I use Biobizz in coco or hydro?

Yes — Biobizz produce a separate feeding schedule for coco and hydroponic systems. The dosages and product mix differ from the soil chart, so always use the substrate-specific schedule for your system.

What is the difference between BioGrow and Fish Mix?

BioGrow is your primary nitrogen feed for the vegetative stage. Fish Mix is a supplementary organic feed rich in trace elements and growth factors — excellent for seedlings and early veg. Many growers use both together throughout the vegetative phase.

When should I start using Top Max?

Begin adding Top Max from around week 7–8 and continue through to 1–2 weeks before harvest. It works best when used consistently across the bloom period rather than as a one-off application.

Do I need every Biobizz product?

Not for a first grow. BioGrow, BioBloom, and Top Max form a solid core trio. Fish Mix, Alg A Mic, Root Juice and Bio Heaven are excellent additions — add them once you are comfortable with the basics.
