A quality propagation system provides the controlled environment of warmth, humidity and consistent moisture that cuttings and seeds need to establish successfully. Without the right conditions, even the best genetics and nutrients produce poor results — cold, dry or excessively wet propagation conditions are the primary reason for low cloning success rates in UK grow rooms. We stock a comprehensive range of propagation systems from simple heated trays to professional aeroponic cloners.
Heated Propagators with Humidity Domes
A heated propagator with a humidity dome is the most widely used propagation system for UK indoor growers. The heated base maintains substrate temperature at 22–26°C — the optimal range for root initiation — while the dome traps moisture and maintains 70–90% RH around the cuttings. This combination replicates the warm, humid conditions that maximise root hormone activity and minimise water stress in unrooted cuttings.
Choose a propagator with an adjustable thermostat rather than a fixed-temperature heating mat — the ability to fine-tune substrate temperature between 20°C and 28°C gives you control over rooting speed versus rooting quality. A slower, cooler root at 22°C often produces a more robust root system than a fast root at 26°C.
Aeroponic Cloners
Aeroponic cloners take propagation to the next level — stems are suspended in a chamber where spinning disc misters or spray heads mist the cut ends continuously with a dilute nutrient solution. This delivers both moisture and oxygen simultaneously to the developing root initiation zone, producing dramatically faster rooting times of 5–10 days versus 10–21 days in standard propagators. Aeroponic cloners are ideal for growers who propagate frequently and value speed and consistency above simplicity.
We have been supplying propagation systems to UK growers since 2017. Browse the full range below.
